From the archives — SS06 Junya Watanabe (Comme Des Garçons) and Pointer Brand Collaboration

20 years ago, Junya Watanabe MAN / Comme des Garçons collaborated with Pointer Brand for its S/S 2006 collection.



The capsule fused Japanese tailoring with rugged, American-inspired utility, featuring hybrid workwear jackets with Junya’s signature exaggerated contrast stitching, double-breasted button fronts, and multi-pocket construction.



Built from heavy cotton canvas, the colored stitching references Pointer Brand’s own workwear heritage, while giving the pieces an architectural, almost deconstructed look.



The interior pocket features the original Pointer Brand collaboration patch, a hallmark of Junya’s iconic workwear reinterpretations from this era.
